Red Thunder Youth Wrestling - Lil Rebels (Ages 4-14)

Red Thunder Youth Sports runs the Lil Rebels youth wrestling program in Keenesburg, building strong bodies, confident minds and resilient spirits through wrestling while teaching discipline, hard work and respect on and off the mat. Boys and girls ages 4 to 14 who are not yet in high school are welcome, and all skill levels from absolute beginner to advanced are welcome — win or learn, undefeated. The full season runs from October through March, with a half season for 4 and 5 year olds from October through December that can be extended after Christmas. Practices are tentatively Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Weld Central High School wrestling room. Red Thunder wrestles in the Peak 2 Peak league and attends tournaments almost every Saturday starting in November at $25 per tournament, which is not included in registration; weigh-ins happen Thursday night at practice. The club rents singlets for families who do not want to buy one, and every wrestler needs a USA Wrestling card before their first practice. The program is entirely volunteer-run and the home tournament on November 14, 2026 is the season's only fundraiser, needing upwards of 80 parent volunteers. Registration for the 5-14 season is $125 and closes October 31, with the 4-5 year old half season at $50.
