Raptors Athletics Tackle Football (Grades 1-8)

Raptors Athletics

Raptors Athletics runs tackle football for athletes in grades 1 through 8 in the Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Larkspur and Sedalia communities, as one of the eight clubs that make up the Arapahoe Youth League. Registration for the fall season opens March 1, with the fee at $550 through June 30 and $600 from July 1 to July 15 (uniform and equipment are extra — a new jersey is $150). Optional offseason training starts in May, practices begin in late July, and the season runs from late August through the end of October with an eight-game schedule plus playoffs. Grades 1 through 3 play Rookie Tackle — 8-on-8 football with no kickoffs or punts, smaller rosters so every player gets playing time, and coaches allowed on the field to teach during games. Club tryouts are held in the spring for players who want the highest seeded team in their age group, and players must be 6 to 14 years old and in grades 1 through 8.
